A new chapter for a historic landmark
This project transformed a former olive oil press and flour mill into the new showroom for Ronis Ceramics. Housed within one of Zichron Yaakov’s historic buildings, originally owned by Baron Rothschild, the project required balancing the practical needs of a modern showroom with the character of the preserved structure.
Original elements, including the roof, windows and remnants of the olive press machinery, were retained and incorporated into the design. Contemporary kitchen and bathroom displays sit alongside the building’s industrial history, creating a natural connection between old and new. The result is a showroom that showcases modern design while remaining firmly connected to the history of the building and its surroundings.
