Balancing serenity with self-expression
The owners of this townhouse wanted to create a sense of calm amid the energy of city life. The brief was to create a warm family home that felt visually serene and uncluttered, yet still reflected the owner’s personality and openness to exploring ideas beyond her usual design comfort zone. The challenge was to introduce moments of color, character and individuality without compromising the overall sense of balance and tranquility.
Bespoke carpentry, natural materials and a layered palette of soft neutrals form the foundation of the design, while carefully selected accents, playful design moments and tactile finishes add depth and interest throughout the home.
