A forever home for a multi-generational family
This project was the fulfillment of an English couple’s lifelong dream of building their home in Israel. The brief was to balance beauty with practicality, creating a house that could comfortably accommodate frequent guests, an elderly mother, energetic grandchildren and large family gatherings, while still feeling cozy when it was just the two of them.
While the architecture provided generous, light-filled spaces, the challenge was to create clearly defined areas for living, dining and entertaining without losing the openness that suits the Israeli lifestyle. Natural materials, bespoke joinery, carefully considered storage and a palette of warm taupes create a calm and inviting environment. Personal collections, artwork and earthy accent tones add character and ensure the house feels lived in rather than staged.
