Balancing modern design with Moroccan influences
The client wanted a home that reflected the personality, travels and story of her family. A recent trip to Morocco, and particularly a visit to Yves Saint Laurent’s home in Marrakesh, became an important source of inspiration, sparking a love of rich colors, natural materials and layered interiors.
At the same time, she was drawn to clean lines and contemporary architecture. The challenge was to bring warmth, color and character into the home without losing the simplicity and openness of a modern design.
Natural materials, carefully selected colors and handcrafted details add depth and personality, while the overall architectural language remains clean and restrained. The result is a home that feels both contemporary and collected, with subtle references to the places and experiences that inspired it.
